What To Expect For Your Session

Full and simple maternity add-on sessions available.

Products/digitals are priced separately for each session. Collections start at $1700 for the entire digital collection and a tangible family art product. Clients typically invest between $2500-$5000 per session. See pricing page for more details.

Frequently Asked Questions

How far along should I be for my portraits?
Right about seven to eight months pregnant is ideal. This is probably when you will feel and look your best ... plus, you can still fit into all those cute maternity outfits. If you wait until the last month of pregnancy, there is more likelihood of water retention, feeling uncomfortable, and of course, the baby arriving early!

Where does the maternity photo session take place?
As an on-location photographer, the best part is that I can come to you! Sessions can take place in the comfort of your own home or at a favorite Boston are spot. The most popular spots include Beacon Hill/Public Garden, Boston Seaport, and the Arnold Arboretum.

Can my spouse & children be part of the session?
Absolutely! These photographs are precious keepsakes that reflect your beautiful growing family... they will be treasured forever.

My sons still look at my maternity portraits and with bright, wide eyes ask "mommy, was that really me in your belly?" When I respond "yes," they always giggle and say "aw, I was so little, I fit in your tummy." I love moments like these with my boys.

As a dog-mom, I also welcome fur-babies to be part of your maternity session. In doing so, it would be best to bring a friend to help with your pet, especially if you only want a handful of photos with them.

What should I wear?
Don't match.. coordinate! Start by choosing a color palette of 3 or 4 complementary colors and then dress the family in shades of that palette. See more tips on my styling guide.

Dresses and skirts look most stunning because they really flatter every female body. Consider softer fabrics like chiffon or tulle which allow for beautiful movement in the images. Not a dress girl? A fitted shirt with a flowy skirt or a blouse with skinny jeans are great options.

For men, I highly recommend a collared button down shirt, either short or long sleeved. They just look a tad dressier than polo shirts. You can find casual or dressy button downs, depending on what overall look your are going for. Wear colored denim or chino pants. Avoid shorts or work pants.
