Malden Ma baby photography

I had the pleasure of photographing many cuties during in-home family photo sessions in the greater Boston area. As a Boston newborn photographer, I love traveling for shoots and making parents feel super comfy during a pretty hectic time in a family’s life.  

Canon 50mm f/2.5 macro lens

I heard during a baby photo workshop that the Canon 50mm f/2.5 macro was the sharpest Canon lens for newborn photography.   The problem was that Canon no longer makes this lens so I had to find a used one.  After the workshop, I scoured the internet and found it on eBay (I won the bidding for it at $127).  I shoot with a Canon Mark iii so this lens does fit full-frame Canon cameras.  The only drawback I noticed was that it was a little loud, especially when you compare it to the Canon 24-70mm.  Other than that, I found it incredibly sharp and versatile (from macro to full-body shots).  Since I received it in my hands, I have used this lens every newborn session.
